These collected images, representations of a representation of nature, are abstractions of the Mississippi River Basin Model Waterways Experiment Station. The Station models thousands of river miles over its two hundred acres in a vain effort to tame nature. This work undertakes a similar effort to tame the meanings of the Station as a place in its larger socio-historical context. Indigenous materials are used to investigate this recursive conflict between humankind and its natural home.
